This retreat focuses on the invitations for life’s final stage and attempts to respond to questions like: What is retirement for? How can I grow old well? What is the meaning of my life at this time? What fears am I facing as I ponder the end of my life? How do I open myself to the joy that this stage of life is offering me? What is the intimacy of old age? Palm Sunday is the feast that commemorates Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem and marks the first day of Holy Week in the liturgical year. The scripturally-based retreat will be a time of personal reflection preparing our hearts to enter more fully into the mystery of Christ’s saving act highlighted during the Easter Triduum. The retreat program will give suggestions on how to use Scripture for contemplation that would lead to a heart-to-heart conversation with Jesus.
